Completely changes the nap and sleeping game. We found it much easier to fall asleep, stay asleep, and feel refreshed after using our Gravity blanket. The weight is distributed evenly across the blanket and the cover is very softThe cover can be removed and washed. Reattaching can be annoying but you figure it out after the second or third wash endeavorI’m not one to write reviews often, but this blanket has me up late at night wanting to share my personal experience with everyone.I’ll be honest, the thought of a “weighted blanket” at first seemed like a gimmick and I was extremely skeptical. First off, I am a fan of Kickstarter products - but I promise I am not biased.I did tons of research and decided to bite the bullet on the infamous Gravity Blanket. Before sleeping with a weighted blanket I dealt with some major sleeping issues. More than anything, I was having frequent panic attacks and anxiety episodes while trying to fall asleep. Nothing seemed to help, melatonin, meditation, nothing. Every night it was the same tossing and turning, elevated heart rate and shortness of breath. I turned to the Google’s to find some sense of relief and comfort and someone online recommended trying a weighted blanket.First thought when I opened this blanket was, wow this thing is heavy. “How am I ever going to get used to sleeping under it?” Second thought was “this is high quality and so soft.” It did take some getting used to. The first few nights it did feel weird. Almost like I was stuck in quick sand. After a few nights, I started noticing all it took was for me to put my phone down, roll over to my side, take some deep breaths and BOOM, I was out. It’s been about a month now - my sleep has never been better. My anxiety issues at night have almost completely went away. My sleep quality has improved (less waking up) and my snoring and tossing and turning has went way down (according to my partner). Here I am currently, laying under the blanket, feeling warm, relaxed, typing this review for the internet to read. In a nutshell - this gravity blanket has done more for me than any pill, breathing technique or therapy session could have done. I hope sharing my personal story with everyone helps at least one other sleepless person dealing with similar issues I dealt with. This purchase has been THE best purchase of 2021 and it was worth every penny.I am disabled and the weight makes it difficult to put it in my decorative duvet and onto my bed. I bought the queen/king to fit my bed and I wish they would also make it in a 20 pound instead of 35.I got the cooling one since it was supposed to help with sleepers that get hot when they sleep...my issues it hot flashes. Btw I think it did its job because I didn't wake up hot. I did put it in a decorative duvet since the soft fuzzy one would hang on to my dogs hair really bad. The soft fuzzy cover does feel great.I slept under it and it took some getn used to, but it wasn't bad. However after my sister-in-law took it off my bed, it hasn't been the same. I never could get it fitted back in the duvet right after she wadded it up. It would slide of the bed no matter what I did. I'm so mad at her for not asking 1st about taking it off my bed. I haven't slept right since. It's now folded up and siting in its box. Because when she comes back...im making her help me fit it!But please make a 20 or 25 pound one in the queen/king size for disabled people like me.I refuse to sleep without it. Yes it’s heavy- it’s a weight blanket, yes it’s hot- it’s 20 lbs of cotton touching you. if you don’t know how to put a duvet cover on- then don’t buy it- the reviews here upset me. This blanket is amazing. Tie and zip all the ties and zippers and distribution won’t be a problem. I’m 5’3 and 160lbs- y’all it’s heavy. But it’s amazing!I bought a cheaper one first and the weight was just hard to center all the time. This is exactly how I imagined the blanket to be, a uniform weight that slide it's weight around. It's expensive and I tried buying the less expensive but you really can't if you want a hassle frr weight blanket. She is 130 and bought the 15 pd which was a good weighted for her. Doesn't make her hot so I think it can be used most of the year.My two biggest peeves about the prior two weighted blankets I've owned are the gradual migration of the beads to the edges of the blanket, and the fact that the inner weighted blanket would pull away from the cover. This blanket has solved both of those problems. I highly recommend it.If there's only one more thing I would wish for, it would be for a cool version of this, for use when it is hot. maybe make the weighted part out of chainmail or some open structure that won't be so insulating. This really helps me sleep.I’ve been sleeping under this 230x230 and 15kg blanket for a few weeks now, and it’s Great! I wouldn’t give it away and it’s worth the steep price. I sleep through the nights and wake up more rested. Nothing is 100% but previously I had difficulties in falling asleep.Negative: It is too warm for the summer season though, and I have to figure out a easier trick on how to do the washing.
