Blanket has nice weight- my daughters each have a weighted blanket and I found them too heavy. This one has nice weight with out making me afraid to roll over or the whole thing will end up in the floor. The thing I like best is that because it’s knitted you can change the dimensions to cover the part of the bed you need it to. I use it over half of a Queen bed and my husband sleeps super hot, so my heavy blankies have to stay on my side.This blanket was so beautiful when it arrived. I loved everything about it and thought it was well worth every penny. Washed it on gentle cycle as advised. Looked it up and said ok to tumble dry. I put it in on low gentle and it completely fell apart! I am so sad to lose this blanket after just a few months.Exactly what I was looking for! Looks great on our bed and super comforting.One wash and it fell apart very disappointedBuuuut it is a bit expensive. That said, it isn't filled for weight, so it won't leak stuffing with use. So it is a good choice.Weighs about 20 pounds (we weighed it). Though the amazon page says it is washable, the scant instructions it came with said to dry clean. We dry cleaned it when we got it. I thought it was very attractive, but the person I bought it for does not agree...he put a duvet cover over it...sigh.The jury is out on whether it helps him sleep, but he hasn't complained about it yet. I recommend this if you don't mind the price because it is good quality & it comes in a reusable vacuum garment bag.Been using for a lil over a week now. Getting fond of it. In the winter months these weight blankets really shine in not only keeping you warm, but also help you to sleep better. In the summertime not so much unless you live in cooler climate. Since this blanket is knitted, air circulates better so you don’t overheat in the summer, but still keep an even temperature in the winter. Came shipped in it’s own re-useable space bag. Which is handy for storage when not in use. No offending odors emitted when the bag was opened and it needed no time at all to be fully usable. The blanket can spread enough to cover the top surface of a queen sized bed. It does shift a bit during the night and works it way down the foot of the bed (partially) if you move a lot in your sleep. (Guilty) it reminds me of a bed sized pot holder. The kind you made as as kid for your parents with those pot holder loom kits.So chunky knitted weighted blankets are a thing now and my wife and I are thrilled.This 20lb cotton finished throw is our second one after previously getting a polyester finished chunky knitted 9lb throw.I have to start by saying the polyester is a bit more stylish than the cotton! We are opting to put this one in the bedroom and the polyester one in the living room, but your mileage may vary.I want to go back to my main point that chunky knitted weighted blanket are awesome and they are the next step above regular weighted blankets with their unique cozy texture. This blanket may be a bit less warming than a full blanket but it has an amazing texture that pairs so well with the heavy weight. Also not being too warm may be a plus.I love that it can be washed inside a laundry bag, although I did not yet try it.I rate is as very giftable although 20lbs may be a bit much for weighted blanket newbies.It is really well packaged.So in conclusion super strong recommendation on chunky knitted weighted blankets in general. This one specifically is really great and tops at 20 lbs which is the most I've seen in Amazon. The only downside is that the fabric looks a bit too smooth and isn't as pretty and sophisticated as the rougher looking polyester option IMO.Easily 5 stars. Can't recommend this segment enough.This chunky blue weighted blanket has quickly become my favorite blanket in every room in the house. I like it so much because of the weight of the blanket itself. This is my first weighted blanket and it's definitely different, there's an extra comfort factor with it. The material is super soft with the chunky handmade knitted cotton. It suggests that you dry-clean it or wash it in a bag to protect it. I'm very pleased with my weighted throw blanket and i would recommend everyone try one out!
