I got this blanket "just in case" as I was driving across the country in late fall. This blanket is a perfect car blanket. One side is black, so i used it every day to cover my luggage in rear of my jeep wrangler; by folding it in half it fit all my gear perfectly and made it difficult to see inside cargo area. The other side is a bright blue and is the waterproof side. The black side is made of a stiff polar-fleece (warm and comfy); the blue (or whatever color you select) is the waterproof side. I didn't need to sleep in my car overnight, but this would have been good to have along had an unexpected snowstorm come up that necessitated doing so. I feel like it would serve as a good windbreaker also. The size is perfect for two adults and is so versatile.
